The reliability and dependability of our Hercules Truss Arch Buildings have proven us as a leader within the fabric building industry, but did you know that we also manufacture, design and install some of the highest-quality engineered greenhouses as well? In fact,we have installed not one, but two Pro Solar Star™ Series 2000 A-Frame Greenhouses for our affiliate company, Growers Supply, and we wanted to share the diversity of our engineering capabilities with a photo blog featuring our custom engineering capabilities.
Each structure is 41’ wide by 50’ long, which combined makes the structure a total of 82′ wide by 50′ long. Each greenhouse is covered using 8mm Twin-Wall Polycarbonate Sheets, which are nearly as transparent as glass, but are lighter in weight, stronger and much more efficient in preventing heat loss.
The Indoor Environment
With maximum usable space, abundant natural lighting and state of the art environmental controls, these greenhouses are home to several hydroponic systems, which produce year-round within the controlled environment.
The controlled environment includes an Aquacool® Evaporative Cooling System, Metal Halide light fixtures, High Bay light fixtures, Horizontal Airflow Fans, six large exhaust fans, Modine™ Power-Vented Heaters, an automated shade system and a Greenhouse Power Vent System. These environmental controls help keep the conditions inside the structure ideal year-round; with steps taken to both cool and heat the structure, no matter what the conditions are outdoors, these Pro Solar Star Series 2000 A-Frame Greenhouses produce the maximum crop with the highest quality all year long.
Made in America and designed with the same attention to detail that can be found in each and every one of our Hercules Truss Arch Buildings, our line of engineered greenhouses are some of the most dependable and reliable structures available. Whether you are looking for a commercial crop production facility, a backyard hobby greenhouse or one of our traditional fabric structures, we here at ClearSpan can design, manufacture and build the structure you’ve been dreaming of.
